Problem with Windows Vista x64
Hi. Me and a friend have tried cheating when we got windows vista on our computers. We had XP sp2 before and works fine. Now when we got Vista it doesnt work. I only get "<05> Client changed: uTorrent 1.7.7 <05> Looking for utorrent process... <05> No utorrent process found. Make sure that torrent client is running." All the time. I can have utorent running for 1 hour and try after that but it doesnt work.. Anyone that have a answer for me? Because when i made format C: and back to XP sp2 it works fine again. But my friend likes vista and want to use it but wants RM to work without a problem to.

same vista x64 problem here...
i get the exact same problem. i try to run utorrent 1.7.7 or azureus 3.0.4.2 in the background and nothing. you can see a screen capture here:

I have a similar prob... <11> Client changed: uTorrent 1.7.7 <11> Looking for utorrent process... <11> utorrent process found! <11> Search failed. Make sure that torrent client {uTorrent 1.7.7} is running and that at least one torrent is working. Is this because I am using vista 64 bit? because the install folder is different? C:\Program Files (x86)\uTorrent\uTorrent.exe instead of C:\Program Files\uTorrent\uTorrent.exe

Vista is very different in how it allows access to other processes. Give this a try and let us know if it works for you: Run NRPG as admin.......right click the NRPG icon or exe and choose "Run as administrator". That should change the access privileges, but I have no idea if that will fix the roblem. Worth a shot though.

NRPG doesn't work under x64 system (Vista). Run as adminstrator function not working, the error message is same: <11> utorrent process found! <11> Search failed. Make sure that torrent client {uTorrent 1.7.7} is running and that at least one torrent is working.

i get the same error, but i can upload the files without problems. I am using vista 64 bits too

I tried to go inside Windows Firewall and allow it again. And now it works fine. So try allow it in Windows Firewall

I was enabled once is working, but i have to restart my Computer and NRPG doesn't working. The error message is the same: <11> utorrent process found! <11> Search failed. Make sure that torrent client {uTorrent 1.7.7} is running and that at least one torrent is working.

Go inside Windows Firewall and delete the NPRG from the access site. And make it access again. So only delete and put it back again and it should work. It worked fine for me

It's NOT WORK. The Error Message is the SAME: <11> utorrent process found! <11> Search failed. Make sure that torrent client {uTorrent 1.7.7} is running and that at least one torrent is working. Any other reason?

hmm
have no idea. it works sometimes for me and sometimes not. Dont know whats the problem

BlueByte- 05-03-2008

yes same problem here , its actualy a RANDOM event , sometimes it works , sometimes it doesnt , there is NO way to go around this , this is bad codding for windows vista users , spam it , restar the torrent client , it will giveup eventualy and say " found - succesfull " i think the devs should look into this becouse its kinda'of'a serious problem Thanks . and good luck!

I have the same problem. I tried adding NRPG to the windows firewall, also restarting utorrent and NRPG a few times. No matter what i do it always says: "Search failed. Make sure that torrent client {uTorrent 1.7.7} is running and that at least one torrent is working." I use Vista 64 bit SP1 but I think it will also happen with Vista 32 bit SP1, see this thread: forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=1780&highlight=vista+sp1" target="_blank">http://nrpg.16.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=1780&highlight=vista+sp1 Can the developer look into this? Seems like a fairly serious issue.

not NRPG problem i guess
I dont think its NPRG problem. I think its vista problem. Because Vista is more about security then XP. So i think something in vista is blocking it. But maybe it could be something with NPRG because i dont think its made for Vista. So maybe some security issue there to

well if you read the thread I linked the problem seems to be a related to Vista SP1 memory reading rather than security.
