How do I change my IP?
I have a static external IP address and I am a bad-ass. Bad-asses get banned from torrent sites, and static IPs don't change.:cry: I have heard, however, that there is a way to manually request a new IP from your ISP. Is this so? If it is, then how can it be done? If it can't, is there anyway else for this to be done? I know I could just use a proxy, but that only works on some sites. Most sites check for proxies and disable you if they catch you using one. Also, proxies are slow!:P Thanks for the help guys! :D

Call to your ISP and ask them to give you a new IP address, if they ask to many questions, tell them that you suspect that your IP as been hijacked by an hacker :) If your IP it's internal (router) you can easily change it, but i don't know how to change a static external IP address. And by the way... STOP BEING A BAD-ASS!! :lol:

Ohyeah use this program! I also have a static-ip and it sucks but when i'm banned i use this program over here : Proxy Switcher 3 ! U will have some tutorials included with the software! Goodluck mate!

One way is being inactive, I get banned off sites too and all you got to do is kill your router and modem for a week or more. The inactivity gives you a new IP, only draw back is you cant use your connection

@marko and redpill Thanks but can't sites like ScT detect those proxies? @Leecher Really? That's interesting. Unfortunately I would feel suicidal after a day without internet, and commit suicide after two days so I don't think that would work.:lol:

i never tried there but if u have an invite to spare i'll try it! :-p It's a really good program that really helped me to get past many anti-proxy scripts from on-line games and of course past many tracker scripts!

Yea I figure that well there was a forum post on old moofdev, some user explained how to get a new IP using run program Most you can wait for is a day.

OK well here's another question: The reason I want a new IP is because I was disabled on ScT (not banned) but a friend told me that if I get another account they will disable it then ban me because they will recognize me by my IP. But another friend told me that they won't recognize me as long as I use a different email, and so I will be fine. So which is it?

i have had a couple accts on ScT (thie one im using now being my second one) i have created one then got a new ip and created a different one with a different email address and even though i used them both on the same ip, just in different browsers they didnt seem to notice or if they did they didnt care. but for getting a new ip address it depends on your ISP but the way i do it is i change a couple characters int he MAC address of my router and reboot router and modem then when they all sync up and get connection i have a bright shiny new ip address. works every time and clear cookies in browser related tot hat site and its as though i was never there. :D if you dont have a router theres programs out there to change ht eMAC of your NIC as well.

I have static ip but, if u have a router u can change the ip , change the mac adrres , reset router and modem wait 1 min and the ip is changed
