Just use a fan to cool only the harddrive and you don't need this trick in the future... the coolest your H.d. runs the better.

i read an article about freezing your hard drive to get you lost data back awhile back and it also states that it's a myth but some says it actually work and that it's a hit or miss. hopefully when i lost my data and freeze my hard drive hopefully it will be a hit
