Demonoid Shut Down by the CRIA
Demonoid.com, one of the most popular BitTorrent trackers ( that I like it so much) has allegedly been taken offline by the Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA). Both the tracker and the website have been unresponsive for nearly 24 hours. I'm so upset. I hope It'll be back again and I hope they have backups of their servers and I think that all torrent sites won't sit back and let this happen, Cause they distributed Demonoid torrents and now They're losing content too. This is another bad development for the future of file sharing. first torrentspy is blocked from US users, then isohunt, and now this?!! Demonoid was was one of the most important torrent sites out there.... :evil: I hate you CRIA!!!

Well, I never used it, if I ever felt the need to use demonoid, usually btjunkie or p2p was better. The site only updated once a day! Yeah, but I guess The CRIA is still a bunch of pricks whether I liked Demonoid or not. I guess its just kind of funny the resources they put into these things and the pathetic results they get for it. They got two indexes to block the states, for the safety of the users, and one pseudo-private tracker shut down. It will probably be back on a romanian or swedish server or something, that's the way its been working the last few months.

Mega is right ... i hope its like the last time but this time the whole thing is stupid. i dont know what to believe Torrentfreak is all like "hay, maybe CRIA shut u down?" and Demonoid is like "NOEZ!!! STOP TELLING LIES AS FACT" and TF is like "wellz, i said mayb. wot is wrong then?" and Demonoid is like "umm.....maybe our hardware? we don't really kno tbh" And TF is like "....rite..." THE FACTS ARE OVERWHELMING :-S

Demonoid Is Back ONLINE Newspost - Sep/30/2007 Downtime We received a letter from a lawyer represeting the CRIA, they were threatening with legal action and we need to start blocking Canadian traffic because of this.
